TOPIC: Who decides the need for an API, The Developer of the Business Analyst?

Business analysts should focus more on identifying the right stakeholders, to get the right requirements, and build the right product that would deliver or create value. APIs is just one tiny piece of that equation and it’s a job done by the developer, not BA. The reason BAs are curious about it is that they think it’s something they should know about- but that’s wrong; they shouldn’t know about it. A BA knowing about APIs is like a BA knowing how to code. The use of an API is solely the decision of a dev, not a BA.An API is simply making sure that a system performs better and that the system can be easily diagnosed. Diagnoses and performance is not a BAs job- it’s a Devs job. So they use APIs to make their work better.Join Nnenna I. S. on this explosive session.
